Here are in our opinion, are three of the best viewpoints in Pattaya.
It doesn’t matter if it’s day or night, the view across Pattaya bay and the Gulf of Thailand is beautiful, but where are the best viewpoints in Pattaya. During the day it’s great to sit back and watch hundreds of people paragliding around the bay, the ferry boats heading off to Koh Larn and various other islands. On land there is also a hive of activity, the street peddlers pounding up and down selling their goods, the people scurrying around along Beach Road going about their daily business, the tourists wandering around, looking for . There is so much to see and watch happening, you can spend hours and hours just people watching.
The same goes for the night time, where else would it be better to watch the sunset, than seated high up, overlooking the bay, ready to take in all the beautiful colours across the bay, as the sun say’s it’s goodbye for the day. You can watch the Pattaya sign in all it’s glory, busily changing colours reflecting across the bay’s still waters. There are the brightly lit floating restaurants, packed every night, mainly with Chinese tourists, against the back drop of the green lights in the distance, these are the boats fishing for squid every night. Lower down on Beach Road, you also get a mass of activity, the traffic weaving it’s way along the main road, the girls standing under the coconut trees interacting will anyone who passes them. It really is fascinating to watch all that goes on, there really is never a dull moment. So, where are the best viewpoints in Pattaya? Well we have a few we think you will love.
One of the best viewpoints in Pattaya, and an often unknown viewpoint for the daytime, is Coffee Break. It is a funky VW camper van that dishes out a range of hot and cold drinks, with a seating area overlooking the bay of Pattaya. Located just before the statue of Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivonge, which you can see high up above the famous Pattaya Sign. this is one of the best viewpoints in Pattaya for the daytime. You can see right across the bay as far as Naklua and on a clear day even further down to Lam Chabang. You can grab a coffee, sit back and relax and watch the world pass you by time and time again.
Another one of the best viewpoints in Pattaya is the Saim@Siam hotel. This modern hotel has a rooftop restaurant and garden terrace that you can enjoy relaxing in. If you get too hot just jump in to the spa or infinity swimming pool, the views are breathtaking and you can see for miles and mile. They have a great menu available as well as a range of cold beer, spirits and refreshments. On the rooftop bar the DJ plays up to date music whilst you relax and watch the sunset. A great place for you and your girlfriend, wife, new found love to chill out together and enjoy some peaceful surroundings before heading into the City center.
Probably one of the best places to enjoy the sunset as well as take in the night time activity is the Hilton Hotel, Horizon Lounge located on the top floor of this magnificent hotel. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is for guests only, everyone is welcome to use the Horizon Lounge and if you want to get the best seats for watching the sunset, well you had better book in advance. They offer promotions on their great range of Cocktails, you buy one and get one free between 5pm and 7pm, the cocktails are very generous in size as well so well worth the price.
